Hand Taps
It’s not fair to say hand taps are a niche product or antiquated tools used in simple workshops. Due to the constantly increasing number of new and hard-to-machine materials in particular, the use of hand taps is still recommended in many cases – and optimal cutting results are the reward.
In fact, though, large workpieces in particular, with their high torques, need to be processed by machine because they cannot be handled manually. For this reason, it is necessary to select machine or hand tapping on a case by case basis.
Machine Taps
Machine taps are our most important product segment. In addition to the standard designs, our colour ring line in particular has become very popular. With the help of rings in six different colours, each representing one of the most important material groups, it is possible to find the right tool quickly. About 80 percent of all cutting jobs can be performed using tools coded using the colour ring system.
Round and Hexagon Dies
Round or hexagon cutting dies are used to manufacture bolt threads; such threads are used for simple screws, for example. Compared to the conventional process techniques of chasing, whirling, and turning with corresponding thread cutting inserts, cutting dies have decisive advantages when cutting threads: Incremental feeding is not necessary, and the result is always a thread that is true to gauge – provided that the cutting geometry is properly designed for the material to be cut.
Cutting dies are also used when thread flanks rough from use need to be smoothened or when threads need to be cleaned.

The manufacture of threading tools for all possible thread types and designs takes up a significant percentage of our manufacturing capacity nowadays. It does not matter in this case whether you explain your special cutting task to us or provide a drawing: everything is feasible for us – our machine park, containing machines we have selected ourselves and which is always up-to-date, as well as our continuously optimized expertise makes this possible.
